Repairs and parts for accordion doors and operable walls, whoever installed them

We service, repair and supply replacement parts for accordion doors, folding partitions and operable walls across Australia, including Hufcor and Lotus Doors installations. You do not need to have bought the wall from us.

Needed today

Is the room unusable right now?

A wall stuck open before a function is not a quote request, it is a phone call. Ring and describe it. You get a straight answer on whether it can be made safe today, even if the full repair has to wait for a part.

If your supplier has gone quiet

An operable wall outlives the company that sold it

A partition installed properly will run for decades. The business that supplied it does not always last as long.

When a supplier stops taking service calls, building owners get told the whole wall has to be replaced. For a wall that needs carriers and seals, that is a very expensive way to solve a small problem.

We work on systems from a range of manufacturers. The hardware is assessed on what it is, not on the badge it was sold under.

If the wall is worth keeping, we tell you what it needs. If it is genuinely at the end of its life, we say that too, and quote the replacement separately so you can compare the two.

Systems we work on

Including, but not limited to:

  • Hufcor
  • Lotus Doors
  • Dorma / Dormakaba
  • Skyfold
  • Bildspec
  • Panelfold
  • Unbranded and one-off systems

What a service call covers

  • Full inspection of track, carriers, hinges, seals and lead post
  • Re-hanging and re-alignment of dropped or binding panels
  • Replacement of worn carriers, track sections, hinges and handles
  • Top and bottom acoustic seal replacement and re-setting
  • Panel face repair or re-covering where the finish has failed
  • Written condition report for building owners and facility managers
  • Scheduled servicing for venues that move the wall weekly

Common faults

What it's doing, and what that usually means

None of this replaces an inspection, but it will tell you whether you are looking at an adjustment, a parts job, or something bigger.

The panels bind or drag as you pull them out

Usually worn carriers or a track that has picked up debris, sometimes a track that has moved with the building. Re-hanging and re-aligning fixes most of these.

One side has dropped and the panels no longer meet

Carrier or hinge wear, or fixings that have loosened in the head. Left alone it puts load on the remaining hardware and gets worse.

The wall closes but you can hear everything through it

Perished or mis-set top and bottom seals are the first thing to check. A rated wall with tired seals performs nothing like its rating.

The bottom seal won't drop, or won't retract

Seal mechanism wear or a bent operating rod. Common on walls that get moved several times a week.

The lead post won't lock into the jamb

Usually alignment rather than the lock itself. The stack has shifted, or the panels are no longer square in the opening.

Finish is torn, marked or delaminating

Panel faces can be re-covered without replacing the whole system, which is normally a fraction of the cost of a new wall.

Parts

Where replacement parts come from

Most repairs come down to a handful of components. We supply them as compatible, reconditioned or fabricated parts, chosen to suit the system in front of us.

  • Carriers
  • Track
  • Hinges
  • Seals
  • Handles
  • Lead-post hardware

Unless we state otherwise in writing for a specific item, parts we supply are not genuine manufacturer parts. They are not supplied by or on behalf of the original manufacturer. Any warranty on them is ours, and it is written on the quote.

Send these and we can quote faster

  • A photo of the full opening with the wall closed
  • A close-up of the panel tops and the track, taken from a ladder if it is safe
  • Any manufacturer's label or plate on the panel edge or in the pocket
  • The approximate width and height of the opening
  • How often the wall gets moved, and what it is doing wrong
